The IBPS Clerk exam pattern will be based on two computer-based exams which are Preliminary and Mains exam. The students have to qualify both the exams separately such that they are able to qualify the cut-off of both the exams. IBPS Clerk Syllabus
The IBPS Clerk is conducted in two-phase viz one is Preliminary exam while second is Mains exam. The syllabus of IBPS Clerk is different for preliminary and different for Mains. The question asked in the preliminary exam is low level in difficulty meter while the question asked in Mains is high in difficulty level. Post the written exam, the students have to also attend the Language Proficiency test for which they are required to have a proper dialect on the official language of the states. The students should consider learning the language and should have the basic idea to read, write and speak the language fluently.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern
The IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern is described in the table given below, go through it carefully. The preliminary exam will be a 1-hour exam comprising of 3 subjects viz Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude and English language. There are prescribed sectional timing for each subject and a total of 100 questions are asked at this level. The negative marking is applicable as 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.

Phase 3- LPT
The candidate will be successful in the mains examination and clear the cut-off decided by the authority. They will be called in for the document verification and language test. The candidate will have to appear for the language test and they will have to pass the language test with efficiency. The students who will not be successful in the LPT will be disqualified or will be given a time of 3 months for learning the language.
Final Selection of IBPS Clerk
The selection of an IBPS Clerk is based on the three stages i.e. Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and the Language Test. A student who is an aspirant of IBPS Clerk has to pass all the three stages. The cut-off is decided by the IBPS authority for the student’s category wise. The cut-off is decided at the Preliminary, Mains and the LPT stage. The students will have to clear the cut-off at all the stages according to their category. The students belonging to a particular state has to clear the cut-off of his state according to his category. The students who will be clear the final cut-off of the Langauge Proficiency test are given an appointment within the organisation.
