SSC MTS Selection Process is based on two tests out of which one is a computer-based test and the second one is a descriptive test based on pen and paper mode. The SSC announces the SSC MTS Result separately for both the examinations and the students are selected on the basis of these two examinations. The tentative dates for the application process are July 2020 while the examination will be conducted for the Computer Based Test in November 2020. The students who wish to apply for the SSC MTS can apply for the posts when the notification is out for the posts for the year 2020.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern
The students who have applied for the post of SSC MTS will have to appear for two examinations viz computer-based test and Descriptive test. The SSC MTS Selection Process has a detailed explanation of the syllabus and the process of examination of the SSC MTS. The students will have to clear the cut-off of both the exams separately as decided by the commission. It is very important the candidates have to clear the sectional as well as the overall cut-off to qualify for the three respective tests.
TIER 1-CBT
Tier 1 will be a computer-based Objective test, the duration of the test will be 1 hour. The candidate will get 2 marks for each correct answer while ΒΌ will be deducted for each wrong answer. The test will be conducted for 4 subjects viz English, General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude.

TIER 2- Descriptive Test
The Tier 2 will be a descriptive written test, i.e. the students will have to write the answer with pen on paper. The candidates who will be successful in Tier 1 and clear the cut-off will be called for Tier 2. The paper will be of 50 marks and 2 questions viz one short essay and one letter will be asked in the paper. The total duration of the test will be 30 minutes for a student.
SSC MTS Final Selection
The SSC MTS Final Selection will be based on the cut-off decided by the commission after the exam. The students have to clear the cut-off at all the stages i.e. the computer-based test and the skill test. There will be a final merit list that will be drawn for all the students who clears stage 2. The cut-offs will be different for different categories and will decide the fate of the students. The students who will be selected under the SSC MTS Final Selection will be called for the document verification and post which they will be allotted the selection as SSC MTS.
