Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination for the recruitment of the eligible candidates for various posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators under Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India every year. SSC CHSL 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The applicants can check the eligibility criteria from the table given below:

NationalityThe applicant should be either of the following:
A citizen of India
A subject of Nepal
A subject of Bhutan, and etc
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 to permanently settle down in India
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle down in India.
AGE LimitThe age limit of the applicant to apply for the post should be between 18 to 27 years. There is permissible relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories.
Educational QualificationThe applicants must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University

SSC CHSL 2022: Selection Process

The selection process for the post will be conducted in four stages that are as follow:

  • Tier-I- Computer Based Examination
  • Tier-II (Descriptive paper)
  • Tier-III (Skill Test/Typing Test)
  • Document Verification

 The candidates need to qualify the Tier 1 to be eligible to appear for the next stage. The candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage on the basis of the mark secured in Tier 1 that is Computer Based Examination, and then will appear for the next stage Tier II and Tier III that is Descriptive Paper and Skill Test/Typing Test respectively. Tier III: (Skill Test/Typing Test)

After the applicants both the above stages, they need to appear for the next stage that is Skill Test/Typing Test. Document Verification

After qualifying all the above stages, the applicants need to appear and qualify the fourth stage that is Document Verification to be considered for the final selection. The candidates need to carry the follow documents for the document verification process:
