The NTA conducts the JEE Mains exam every year for admission of students in the top 31 National Institute of Technology pan India. The students appear for the examination twice in a year. The first session was conducted in January 2020 while the second session was scheduled for April 2020. However, due to the current pandemic, the examination was rescheduled for July and now in September. The students who wish to appear for the examination have to pass the class XII with first division from a recognised educational board.

The JEE Main Admit Card will contain a lot of information regarding the examination for which the candidate is appearing for the exam. The students must check the following details and report any kind of discrepancies that is present in the hall ticket:

JEE Main Exam Pattern
The JEE Main Exam Pattern has been declared by the National Testing Agency, the exam is conducted for three courses viz B.Tech, B.Arch and B. Planning. The minutes of the JEE Main Exam Pattern are as follows:
- The exam will be conducted online for the B. Tech while it will be conducted in paper-based form for the B. Arch and B. Planning,
- The language of the examination will be conducted in English, Hindi, and all other official state languages.
- 20 Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- 5 Questions with an answer as a numerical value
- +4 marks will be awarded for the correct answer
- -1 marks will be deducted for each incorrect MCQ
- No marks will be deducted for the incorrect answers of the objective answer.

The JEE Main cut-off will be declared for the students category wise once the exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The JEE Main Cut-off will be released for all the NITs in the month of October if the examination is conducted on September.
