The National Law University Delhi has released the fresh dates for the AILET Exam. The notification of the AILET Exam was out in January 2020 but the application process has been extended till July 2020. The exam was postponed due to the ongoing COVID Pandemic. AILET Exam
The AILET exam will be conducted for the admission on the 80 seats in the BA LLB course in the National Law University. The AILET exam will be held for 5 subjects in an offline mode. The examination will be conducted for the Law aspirants who wish to study the BA LLB course. Latest Changes introduced in the AILET Exam
There are some of the changes that have been introduced in the AILET Exam for the safety of the students in the current covid situation:
- The Delhi High Court has ordered to conduct the AILET Exam as the Remote Proctored Test.
- There is a huge change that has been introduced in the Reservation scheme of the AILET Exam. All the reservation benefits that were being given to the reserved categories of students of Delhi has been withdrawn.
Eligibility Criteria for the AILET Exam
The eligibility criteria of the AILET Exam is given below, the students must go through the eligibility criteria of the BA LLB programme before applying:
- The candidates who wish to apply must have completed 10+2 in any stream, ARTS will be preferred from a recognized board
- The candidates must have scored at least 50 per cent marks in the Class XII exam.
How to apply for the AILET Application ?

- Go to the official website of the AILET
- Click on the “Apply” tab on the home page.
- Click on AILET Exam Notification 2020 and read it carefully.
- After reading AILET Notification, click on the proceed button.
- Enter your details to complete the registration process.
- After that login again using your Registration ID and Password.
- Now upload required scanned documents and make a payment of application fees.
- After paying the application fees which is Rs 3050 for General category and SC/ST/PWD for 1050,
- At last, Click on the submit button and take a print out of your application form.
Exam Pattern of the AILET
The AILET Exam Pattern is mentioned below, the examination will be held for five subjects. The question will be objective in nature and must be held for a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. The students will be awarded 1 marks for every correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

AILET Counselling
Once the NLU declares the AILET Exam Result, the candidates who will be selected have to appear for the AILET Counselling conducted by the National Law University, Delhi. Every year the candidates appear for the AILET Exam for taking admission in the BA LLB course in the National Law University. The authorities send the counselling letter to the students who have qualified AILET for admission to B.A.LL.B course. The NLU sends the call letter to all selected candidates individually via their respective email and speed post. The authorities release a list of documents that need to be submitted during the counselling.
The candidates are required to submit original copies of all the required certificates for the admission process. If the candidates are selected in the counselling process they are required to fill the admission form.
