The West Bengal State Council of Technical Education conducts the JEXPO examination annually. The JEXPO exam is conducted to give the students admission to different technical diploma courses. The examination is conducted for the students who wish to study polytechnic courses in the state. The polytechnic courses are those which are offered to students studying in class 10th and 12th.

The JEXPO examination for the students is conducted annually, the registration process starts in January every year. However, In 2020 year the examinations were postponed citing the COVID-19 pandemic. The application process had been reopened in August 2020. This is th epopular exam among those students who are seeking admission into Polytechnic Courses. The questions in the examination are asked from three different subjects viz Physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The examination is a pen and paper-based examination conducted for a period of 2 hours.

Eligibility of JEXPO
- The candidate must be a permanent domicile of West Bengal
- The student must have a minimum age limit of 14 years.
- The student must have completed the class 10th standard examination from a recognised board with PCM as the main subject.
- The student must have completed studies in the 10th standard examination can also apply for the examination.
How to apply for the JEXPO?
The commission has shared the form filling guidelines that will help students to fill up their application form for WB Polytechnic Admission from the official website. Follow simple steps which are given below to submit your Form 2021.
- Go to the official website
- Click on the scholarship applied for on the home page,
- Then, Click on the Scholarship Student’s announcement,
- Click on the “Apply” tab on the home page.
- Click on JEXPO Notification 2021 and read it carefully.
- After reading notification, click on the proceed button.
- Enter your details to complete the registration process.
- After that login again using your Registration ID and Password.
- Now upload required scanned documents i.e. passport size photo and signature and make a payment of application fees.
- Post this, upload the required documents such as mark sheets of the exams passed.
- At last, Click on the submit button and take a print out of your application form.
- Note down the registration number and password for future use.

JEXPO Exam Pattern
The JEXPO examination pattern will be conducted online, the students will have to answer MCQ questions based on three subjects viz chemistry, physics and mathematics. The total duration will be 2 hours and the number of question will be 100. The maximum marks for the paper are 200, each question will account for 1 marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for any of the wrong answers.
