The Staff Selection Commission of India has released the notification for SSC Stenographer last year in September 2019. The commission conducts the examination annually to fill the posts in Group C and D that are lying vacant. The Computer Based Examination was scheduled in the month of May 2020. Although, the examination was deferred due to the nationwide lockdown citing COVID-19.
The commission has released a notice of fresh dates for the computer-based examination in September 2020. The fresh dates for the computer-based test for SSC Stenographer in September 2020. SSC Stenographer Admit Card Update
The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the examination of SSC Stenographer annually for filling vacant posts in the cadre. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern
The students who have applied for the post of SSC Stenographer will have to appear for two examination viz computer-based test and Skill test. The SSC Stenographer Admit Card will be released for both the posts separately. The students will have to clear the cut-off of both the exams separately as decided by the commission. The students who could not qualify for the cut-off will be disqualified.
Computer Based Test
The Tier 1 will be a computer-based Objective test, the duration of the test will be 1 hour. There will be one question and 5 options will be available for the same. The candidates have to mark the correct option against the available options. The candidate will get 1 mark for each correct answer while ΒΌ will be deducted for each wrong answer. The test will be conducted for 3 subjects viz English, General Awareness, Reasoning Ability.

Skill Test for SSC Stenographer
The students who will successfully clear the cut-off of the Computer Based Test can appear for the skill test. In the skill test, the candidates will be given a dictation of 10 min in English or Hindi. The desirable speed is 100 words per minute and 80 words per minute for the posts of SSC Stenographer Group C and D respectively. The desired time for Hindi and English for the post of SSC Stenographer Group C and D are as follows:
