SEBI recruits candidates for the Group A posts under different departments of the board. The selection process of SEBI Grade A consists of 2 written exams, phase 1 is a computer-based test, 2nd being a descriptive test and the third is an interview which is different for the cadres.

Phase 1 SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern (Preliminary Exam)

  • 1 marks will be awarded to the correct answer.
  • 1/4th marks will be deducted for the wrong answer

The students who will be successful in CBT phase 1 will be called for the Tier-2 and the scores will be taken in consideration for final selection. The candidates will be given 5 options for per question.

Phase 3 Interview

The candidate will be successful in the mains examination and clear the cut-off decided by the authority. They will be called in for the Personal Interview as decided by the concerned recruitment. The candidate will have to appear for the Personal Interview and they will have to pass the Interview with the minimum marks decided by the company for each category. The Weightage of marks obtained in Phase II of the exam will be 85%, while marks obtained in interview shall be given a weightage of 15% in total.

Guidelines followed by students while attending SEBI Grade A Exam

The candidates who wish to appear for the SEBI Grade A Exam have to abide by certain rules and regulations to appear for the SEBI Grade A Exam. The Guidelines which a student has to follow are as follows:

  • The student must print the SEBI Grade A Exam Admit card 10 days before the examination.
  • The student must reach the examination hall 1 hour before the reporting time to avoid any glitches.
  • The candidate should not carry any prohibited items such as a mobile, calculator.
  • The candidate must avoid any kind of discrepancies in the exam.
  • The students must avoid panic before the exam as it only diverts the brain from concentrations.
  • The aspirant should carry their own pen, sanitizer, masks to the exam hall.
