The total vacancy available for the posts is 1,03,769. The Commission released the application form of RRB Group D 2020 from 12th March 2019. The last date to submit the application form was on or before 12th April 2019. According to the latest notification, RRB NTPC CBT-1 will be conducted from 15 December 2020 onwards.
The selection process for the post will be conducted in three stages such as Computer Based Test, Physical Efficiency test, Document Verification & Medical Examination. The admit card will be uploaded before each stage of the exam on the official website. The result will be uploaded for all the four stages separately after the completion of each stage of the exam. RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria
The applicants can check the eligibility criteria from the table given below. The section is divided into three parts that is Nationality, AGE Limit and Educational Qualification which are as follow:
Nationality | The applicant must be any one of the following: A citizen of IndiaA subject of NepalA subject of Bhutan, and etcA Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 to permanently settle down in IndiaA person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle down in India. |
AGE Limit | The age of the applicant should be between 18 years to 33 years as on 01.07.2019 |
Educational Qualification | The applicants must have passed 10th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board |
RRB Group D Selection Process
The selection process for the post will be conducted in three stages that are as follow:
- Computer Based Test
- Physical Efficiency Test
- Document Verification/ Medical Examination
The candidates need to qualify the Computer Based Examination to be eligible for the next stage. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Computer Based Examination, and then will appear for the next stages of the selection. After qualifying CBT stage, the applicants need to appear and qualify other stages of the selection process that is Physical Efficiency Test, Document Verification & Medical Examination to be considered for the final selection.

Physical Efficiency Test
Male candidates
- Lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance
- Run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
Female candidates
- Lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance
- Run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
RRB Group D Document Verification
After qualifying all the stages mentioned above, the candidate need to appear and qualify the fourth stage that is Document Verification & Medical Examination to be considered for the final selection of the post. The applicants need to carry the follow documents for the document verification process:
