The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will release the JEE Advanced Result soon on the official website. JEE Advanced Result

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2020 on 27th September 2020 under the guidance of Joint Admission Board. IIT conducts JEE (Advanced) for admission to UG Courses in Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Architecture for the academic year of 2020-21.

Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted in the month of May 2020, but then it was postponed due to the outspread of COVID-19 all over the country. There is no official notification for the result as of now, but it is expected that the officials will release the JEE Advanced Result in the month of October 2020. How to Check JEE Advanced Result

The applicant should follow the steps given below to check the result:

  1. Visit the official website given in the article
  2. Now click on the link “JEE Advanced Result 2020 “available at the homepage
  3. A new login page will be displayed on the screen
  4. Now enter your Registration No, Date of Birth, Security Pin, and etc
  5. Click on “Submit”
  6. Now you can check and download the result

JEE Advanced Answer Key 2020

The provisional JEE Advanced Answer will be published on the official website. The applicants can view, download or print the answer key that includes responses of the applicants who have appeared both Paper 1 & Paper 2. The applicant can also submit their feedback on the provisional answer key through Candidate portal in the given deadline, and after the verification of the submitted feedback, the officials will release the final answer key on the official website.

JEE Advanced Result: Rank Lists

In order to be considered in the rank list of JEE Advanced, the applicant needs to appear for both Paper 1 & Paper 2. You can check the calculation of the subject-wise marks of JEE Advanced given below:

Marks secured in Physics in JEE Advanced: Physics Marks scored in Paper 1 + Physics Marks scored in Paper 2.

In the same way, the marks for Chemistry & Mathematics will be calculated.

The aggregate marks calculation of JEE Advanced 2020: Aggregate Marks secured in Physics+ Aggregate Marks secured in Chemistry+ Aggregate Marks secured in Mathematics.

As the rank list is prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained in JEE Advanced 2020, but in case the aggregate marks secured by the two candidates is same, then the following tie-break policy will be used:

Step-1: The candidate who has high positive marks will be awarded higher rank

In case Step-1 could not break the tie, then Step-2 will be followed:

Step-2: Candidate will get higher rank who has secured higher marks in Mathematics. If this too doesn’t work, then the applicants who have secured higher marks in Physics will be awarded higher rank. And if this also cannot break the tie, then the applicants will be awarded same rank.

JEE Advanced Result: Minimum Marks for inclusion in Rank list:

In order to be considered for the rank list, the candidates need to secure a minimum percentage of marks in each subject and also in aggregate. You can check the minimum marks need to be secured in each category from the table given below:
